Kid Activities

When traveling with kids, it can be a challenge to find activities the entire family will enjoy. You want to get out and see Moab, but you don't want to overdo it. Here is a list of some of our kids' favorite things in Moab.

Of course, there’s also fun to be had right at the condo with Rim Vista's pool, playground, basketball, and tennis courts. Indoors, each condo has a pack of Uno cards, along with regular playing cards. One unit (7A2) even has a complete old-school video game unit, which is always a hit!

Lions Park

Lions Park is located on the banks of the Colorado River, north of Moab at US191 & UT128. Some large boulders have been placed with unique 5" thick padded flooring around them for kids or adults to test out their climbing skills on. The park also provides access to the Moab Canyon Pathway and the Hwy 128 Path.

Bonus:  See if you can find the spring on the other side of UT128 to refill your water bottles.

Rotary Park

Rotary Park is beautiful, with large cottonwood trees shading the playgrounds. There are picnic tables and a paved trail to walk or ride. The highlight of this park is the musical playground, which kids love to play on and make music on. This was our daughter's favorite place in Moab when she was younger. Rotary Park is located on Mill Creek Drive.

Frisbee Golf

Located just a few miles from our Town Homes is the disc golf course at Old City Park. The course is 18 holes, but 9 holes are usually about right when the kids are along. We make up our own rules, and everyone is on the same team. One person takes a throw, and then we advance to where their disk landed, and then the next person goes. It is great fun for the kids to chase after the frisbee, and since we are all on the team, everyone is a winner.

Bonus:  There is a great snow sledding hill here next to the duck pond.

Moab Giants

It is hard not to look at the Moab landscape and not envision dinosaurs walking around.  Now, there are full-size dinos at Moab Giants.

Do you want to see the real thing?  There are several real dinosaur footprints nearby.

This short trail will take you to one of the most unique arches in the Moab area.  What Tukuhnikivats Arch lacks in size it makes up for in character.

Mo Yo Frozen Yogurt

Typically, when we visit Moab, our sweet tooth gets the better of us, and when it does, we head to our daughter's favorite place for dessert: MoYo, frozen yogurt shop. There are tons of toppings and several frozen yogurt choices available. MoYo is located at 331 N Main Street, downtown Moab.
